Dear Devoted One,

Our theme for the day is Truth. As beings with freewill, we have the privilege of choice. We can choose light or we can choose darkness.  The Psalmist makes it clear his choice:

30 I have chosen the way of truth; Your judgments I have laid before me.

Psalms 119:30 (NKJV)

If we are to live devoted to God, we must be a people who have chosen the way of truth.  But, once we have chosen truth, we must be diligent in our pursuit and study of the truth able to rightly divide the word.

15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

2 Timothy 2:15 (NKJV)

As you grow in truth, you will grow in wisdom and your discernment will increase.  As we press forward in our relationship with Him, let us make this following passage our prayer and our commitment.

33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of Your statutes, And I shall keep it to the end. 34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart. 35 Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.

Psalms 119:33-35 (NKJV)

Then, allow the Truth of what He has done for you, to be the force that allows you to align your life in truth, so you can walk in the light fulfilling your destiny while being a reflection of the Light for and by His glory.

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

1 Peter 2:9-10 (NKJV)

Heavenly Father; thank you for the gift of choice and today I use this gift to choose to be a person of truth.  Open the eyes of my understanding that the darkness within will be exposed.  I choose this day to be diligent in my pursuit of truth, that my life will not bring shame to you.  Teach me your statutes and help me to walk in your ways, that my life will reflect the marvelous light that shows forth your redemptive love.  In Jesus Name; AMEN
