Dear Follower of the TRUTH:
In our journey to grow in our devotion to Him, we must understand that our devotion is not just a state of feeling, but a state of mind, it is a union; a state of being one with Him. If we are going to be one with God, we must be one with the very essence of who He is.
Who is He? The Bible says He is a God of Truth.

4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.

Deuteronomy 32:4 (NKJV)

Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Light”- Another way of stating this is; Jesus is the Truth, Jesus is the Light, Jesus is the Way and/or The Truth is Jesus; They are one and the same; they cannot be separated from each other.

He is a God of Truth, and if we are going have a deeper fellowship with Him, we must be a people of truth.  It takes place when we allow our lives to come into agreement with what He says. What He says is truth.

160 Your words all add up to the sum total: Truth. Your righteous decisions are eternal.

We are encouraged in Proverbs to:

23 Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.

Proverbs 23:23 (NKJV)

The word BUY in Hebrew means; to erect, i.e. create; by extension to procure, especially by purchase (causative sell); by implication to own: – attain, to provoke to jealousy, possess (-or), purchase, recover, redeem.

We are admonished her to erect the truth in our lives; we are to procure the truth; we are to sell out our lives to secure the truth, to take ownership of the truth in our life; to strive to attain it; to possess the truth and by possessing the truth, recover and redeem which was lost.  When we do, our lives will provoke other to jealousy. (Wanting what you have!)
Heavenly Father, I acknowledge You today as the God of Truth, because you are truth; a God whose character and nature cannot lie. Forgive me for allowing lies to replace the truth in my daily living.  Forgive me for the times when I minimize your Word, to fit my mental state of being, instead of allowing your Words to change my mental state. Empower me with your grace as I choose to erect a standard of truth in my life. Help me to become dissatisfied with the ways of the world and be a person who pursues the truth at any cost.
