E100 Devotion – Day 1

January 29, 2011

E100 Dear Devoted Believer,

I wanted to encourage you in your pursuit of the Lord, as you begin this season of delving deeper into God’s Word.

Utilizing the word DEVOTED, I created an acronym focusing on specific prayer targets (Seven letters, seven prayer targets; one for every day of the week). Today’s prayer target is “O” – Oneness.

As you begin this E100 journey today, my prayer is that your heart, mind and will, would be “one” with the Lord. In John 17:21, Jesus prayed that we would be one with the Father as He and the Father were one. It is my desire that you experience a fresh connect with the Lord as you set aside time to commune with Him in these 100 days of focus.

I pray His presence will fill you with a greater awareness of His love for you. That the Holy Spirit will reveal to you anything that would cause a breach in your relationship with Him and draw you back to a place of oneness with Him.

Psalms 133:1 tells us it is a good thing when we dwell together in unity. I pray that the power of the Cross will become so real in your heart that it causes you to walk in unity with yourself and with others. It is from a place of unity, that the anointing is released. Unity does not mean we all share the same opinions, but it does mean we share the same heart.

My prayer is that our hearts will be one in purpose, passion and pursuit of knowing HIM… that we would see the value of each person and how it is necessary for us to work together to accomplish the will of God for this hour.

Ephesians 4:2-3 (KJV) it gives us insight on how we can attain unity; 2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 3 Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

It takes a spirit of humility and forgiveness for us to experience the God kind of unity. It also takes effort, as we “endeavor to keep” unity in our lives, and its possible when we allow the Spirit of Peace be the bond that connects us.

Begin to expect mighty things to take place in your life.

Heavenly Father, I stand before you today and lift up those who are hungry to know you more. You declared in your Word that it was a good thing when we came together in unity and that the power of being unified in your plans and purposes releases an anointing upon us and through us. Lord reveal your extravagant love to us today that we might surrender all those things that compete with being one with you and one with each other. In Jesus Name, I pray. AMEN.
