By faith, we see the world called into existence by God’s word, what we see created by what we don’t see.

Hebrews 11:3

It’s a beautiful time of the year, a time where we can visually see by nature some important truths in God’s Word.  It is a time of planting for fall harvests and a time of enjoying the beauty that spring shows forth.  All of which reminds us, that our life is like a field that we have been entrusted with.  The seeds in which we harvest are from the words we speak.

The Bible says you and I have been made in the image and likeness of God.  Therefore we have been given the same tool that God has to build the world around us; our words.

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

Proverbs 18:21

When we speak, our words are more than sounds that communicate; our words are seeds that are released into the atmosphere of our life.  The atmosphere is alive and hears what comes out of our mouth.  The words we speak will grow/they will produce a harvest.  The question is, “Will we be happy with the harvest of our words?”

Begin today to purposefully plant seeds that will produce the harvest of life and truth in our life, the life of your family, in the life of the church and in the world around you!

Examine the words you have been speaking and surrender the weed seeds to God’s grace.  Then begin to fill your heart with God’s word and then speak them out and seed the atmosphere for a good harvest. 

As you forge ahead, you can have full assurance in your heart that your harvest will be good, when you realize that your every word seeds the atmosphere and those seeds will produce a harvest.  Sow seeds of life and reap a harvest that will bless you and those around you.
