Full Assurance In The Heart – Day 33

May 21, 2011

7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. 8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret–it leads only to evil. 9 For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

Psalms 37:7-9

For many of us the hardest thing to do in the midst of life’s turmoil is to be still and patiently wait.  Somehow we think if we keep on moving, it will get us out of our dilemma quicker.  But many times it only serves to keep us in it longer.  But, when we make a decision to place our trust in God, we can become still as we wait patiently for Him.  Only then are we able to cease from our fearful fretting that only leads us to greater trouble.

You can forge ahead today with full assurance in your heart, because He is the Lord over all and your destiny is in His hands. His plans for you are good, therefore you will not be overcome, but will greatly succeed.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11
