Full Assurance In The Heart – Day 21
May 8, 201129 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. 30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Psalms 18:29-30
King David had a wonderful way of being transparent and in his transparency we can see his dependency on God along with God’s sufficiency in David’s life. Verse 29, reveals that because of God’s strength, David had the ability to endure and persevere in the face of adversity and trials.
Then David goes on to say in Psalm 60 that not only will we endure and persevere, but we will be able to do mighty things because of God’s help; as God will deal with our enemies.
With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.
Psalms 60:12
King David tapped into the strength of God as he waited upon the Lord in times of prayer.
As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.
Psalms 138:3
Prayer is that place of communion where we can come to God just as we are. It is a place of exchange; a place where we can give to God our heart and receive from God’s heart. It is in those times we can come to Him just as we are and He fills us with who He is and we are made strong.
As you face life challenge’s and draining opportunities, you can have a full assurance in your heart, knowing that His door is always open and His supply is readily available. So, take the time to stop and wait upon the Lord and not only will you be refreshed, but you will have the strength you need to leap over the walls and barriers that you day might bring.
But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
