1 O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. 2 You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. 3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. 4 You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. 5 You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.

Psalms 139:1-5

We can learn so much about the love of God toward us His children from the relationship that King David had with the Lord.  King David communicates so openly about the reality that God knows everything about us.  And that He is intricately aware of the details of our daily life, even when we are far from Him. David then says, “God knows everything about me and loves me anyway! And that love showers me with His blessings! 

As a matter of fact God doesn’t just bless you, but He is having good thoughts about you!

17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! 18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!

Psalms 139:17-18

Many of us wonder “How can that be?” Doesn’t He know me? Yes, God knows you, because He is the one that made you.

13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

Psalms 139:13-14

Yes, God knows you better than you know yourself.  He created you with a divine destiny and within that destiny is everything you need to fulfill that destiny when you are close to Him.  Being close to God, brings out the best in you!
