Full Assurance In The Heart – Day 1

April 18, 2011

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

At the first of this year, I had asked the Lord, what would be His guiding “word” to us as we entered into this new year.  He gave me a simple, one word answer; “FAITH.”  His key note verse to me was Mark 11:22; “Have faith in God.”

As I pondered all that He was trying to communicate to me in the simplicity of His statement, I developed an acrostic as a guiding tool in our journey to be a people of faith and that acrostic is “Forging Ahead In Trustful Hope.”  This acrostic communicates an ongoing action on our behalf if we are going to grow great faith that releases heaven on earth in our life.

People who Forge Ahead In Trustful Hope are a unique people, who are determined to fulfill their God-given destiny.  They possess an attitude of the heart that can be expressed by these guiding words that keep them focused upon their goal; “Forsaking All I Trust Him.”

They are able to accomplish their goal because they have cultivated a trust in God that brings a “Full Assurance In The Heart” in all of life’s ups and downs.

In this next series of devotions, we will address the many aspects of “trust,” as full assurance comes from a place of trust.   We look into the Word of God and discover the character and nature of a God who is trustworthy along with the benefits of trusting God.

 To Trust means:

 a) to place one’s confidence or dependency on one who can deliver.  b) to rely on the truthfulness or accuracy of : c) believe: an assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something.

You and I can “trust” God, because of the steadfastness of His character and nature.

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Hebrews 13:8

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Numbers 23:19

Come join with me each day, as we delve into God’s Word and discover the truth of who He is and what He has done as you forge ahead with Full Assurance In The Heart growing a faith that will move the mountains in your life for His glory.

He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!

Deuteronomy 32:4
