Forging Ahead In Trustful Hope – Day 40

April 17, 2011

“Faith is the pierless bridge supporting what we see unto the scene that we do not”

15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” 19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

Mark 16:15-20

Faith” is an attribute that shapes who we are; it is a tool that enables what we do; and it’s a powerful force that releases the life and heart of God into our midst

As this 40 day focus is coming to a close, our journey to Forge Ahead In Trustful Hope continues; because “faith” has a mission to bring heaven on earth.

Faith causes us to “come” to a gracious God and receive of His goodness and kindness.  But once we have tasted and seen that He is good, true faith causes us to “go” and fulfill the mission that faith was destined to fulfill.

Faith’s purpose was and is always to “go” and impact a world with the good news of Christ; because faith’s purpose is to empower people to be transformed into the likeness of Christ and to manifest the goodness of God to a dying world.   But, to “go” will be the most faith filled act one will ever commit to do

In order to “go”, you will have to make a decision; a decision to forge ahead in the darkness to bring the light. You will have to forge ahead of the fleshly desires and distractions that will try to capture you. You will have to decide to forge ahead of the fears and the failures that would hold you back.  You will have to forge ahead of the reasoning of the world that would try to defy heavens wisdom.

Faith, it releases a grace to “come,” so we can “go.”  As you are Forging Ahead In Trustful Hope, remember that faith has a mission and a purpose.  Faith was never intended to remain in a place of passive complacency, because faith is an action that is driven by a mission.  Therefore “go” in His grace until you have finished faith’s race.”

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
