Forging Ahead In Trustful Hope – Day 32
April 9, 2011But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6
What is faith – The word faith in this scripture means; to have a moral conviction of the truthfulness and fidelity and integrity of God. In essence it is saying, “without a moral conviction of the truthfulness and fidelity and integrity of God, we cannot please God.”
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
Now Faith is the deep moral conviction we hold of the fidelity and integrity of God. “Now” faith is an active substance of the things hoped for because God is who He says He is, and our belief in God’s integrity is the substance that gives us the evidence of the things not yet seen.
This deep moral conviction, gives us the ability to BELIEVE – that means we are committing to place our confidence in ones integrity. The word “Believe” means – to put your trust in, to have faith in or confidence in ones integrity, to commit.
Faith is not even the ability to see what you cannot see, as much as it is the ability to believe in God and His integrity and therefore you will see. When you commit to trust God and His integrity, you will believe all that He says and all that He says He will do, therefore you will be able to believe that nothing is impossible for Him and with Him.
How do I do this? By reading and hearing the Word of God on a regular consistent basis.
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:17
You and I must become students of His Word, so that the words of the world will not have greater power over us. All the time we are listening, we are responding, but what are we listening to and responding to?
Faith, cometh, – Faith increases or faith is a result, of the action of hearing the Word of God.
Jesus is saying if you and I are going to see our mountains moved, we must have faith.
We must have a deep moral conviction in the integrity of God and in who, He says He is and what He can do. This cannot happen if we do not know Him! We cannot know Him, with a casual breeze through the Bible. We must make an investment of our time and our focus and discover who He is and then make a decision to commit that is BELIEVE in Him. As you Forge Ahead In Trustful Hope, become a student of the Word of God. In His word you will discover the truths of Who He is and it will bring your faith to new levels as you place your confidence in the one who loves you best and most.
