Forging Ahead In Trustful Hope – Day 24

April 1, 2011

“In faith there is enough light for those who want to believe and enough shadows to blind those who don’t.”    Unknown

People of great faith are an enduring victorious people who possess a right attitude towards their trials and tests.  In 1Cor. 10:13, we see three valuable keys that help us to understand God’s protection and provision in trials and tests.

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)

  • The temptations you face are only common.  There is nothing about it is that is great, it’s only a common problem.  Don’t allow your trial to build a place in your imagination.  It will only consume the place where vision and faith are supposed to dwell.  Remember, that it only came to pass.  Every trial has a time span; a beginning, middle and an end!

Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.

1 Peter 4:12

For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison…

2 Corinthians 4:17

  • God is faithful to not allow you to be tempted or suffer above that that which you are able.  You are not going to be destroyed.  You can handle anything that comes to your desk, because it comes to God’s desk before it gets to yours.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31

  • God will make a way of escape so you will be able to bear it. You don’t have to run because God is going to make a way to escape.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:7

As you are “Forging Ahead In Trustful Hope,” remember the words of the Apostle Paul, who confidently endured tests and trials as he moved many mountains to advance the Kingdom of God.

No, in all these things we win an overwhelming victory through him who has proved his love for us. I have become absolutely convinced that neither death nor life, neither messenger of Heaven nor monarch of earth, neither what happens today nor what may happen tomorrow, neither a power from on high nor a power from below, nor anything else in God’s whole world has any power to separate us from the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord!

Romans 8:37-38
